O SAFETY CLASS
The EN ISO 20347:2011 standard can be applied for footwear without a steel/carbonite nose. This footwear therefore provides limited protection. These shoes are otherwise classified according to the same standard as EN ISO 20345:2011, but the letter S has been replaced by the letter O.

CE TRADEMARK
All shoes are individually tested by recognised European testing institutes and may only bear the CE trademark following certification.

SAFETY
Or products comply with the minimum requirement SB (Safety Base).

• The steel/carbonite nose offers sufficient protection against falling objects, the denting resistance is at least 200 Joule. The resistance when trapped is 15.000 N.

• According to the EN ISO 20345:2011 and UNI EN ISO 20345:2012, shock     absorption in the heel must be minimum 20 Joule as standard.

  • - All basic requirements are met. A shoe must have a steel/carbonite
      nose with denting resistance of 200 Joule (residual height 14 mm).
  • - As for SB, but also antistatic, energy absorption through the heel.
  • - As for S1, plus increased resistance to permeation by water.
  • - As for S1, with the addition of an intermediate steel/kevlar sole.
  • - As for S2, with the addition of an intermediate steel/kevlar sole with   non-slip profile.
  • - As for S1 but then made from PU, rubber or synthetic materials.
  • - As for S4, with the addition of an intermediate steel/kevlar sole with   non-slip profile.
